We are committed to helping those experiencing hygiene poverty in the UK. We provide essential products to those in need with approximately 170 projects and 600 volunteers across the country. Just as we help others, we need help too. That’s why our Hygiene Heroes program exists, so that socially minded organisations can help us tackle hygiene poverty, give back to their communities, and achieve their ESG goals without breaking the bank.

How it works

Our Hygiene Heroes work to champion The Hygiene Bank within their office or company. Become a Hygiene Hero in three simple steps.

One or more staff members act as an internal ambassador for The Hygiene Bank within your company. They will encourage fundraising, organise collections, raise awareness of hygiene poverty amongst staff and more.
Commit to one of the fundraising teams below (this means you commit to raising or donating at least this amount within one calendar year).
Finally, dedicate as much time as you are able to get involved! Keep scrolling to learn more about how you can help.

Whichever club you join, you will receive our support and gratitude, as well as a Hygiene Hero pin badge!

Club 500+

£500 could supply toothpaste and toothbrushes to a school for one year, or support a homeless shelter with basic hygiene essentials for one month.

Club 1,500+

£1,500 could give one of our local projects access to storage space for a year or provide enough hygiene essentials to a foodbank for a whole year.

Club 3,500+

£3,500 could enable a whole local community to stock up on basic hygiene essentials for two years, help us open a new local project in an area of deprivation, or help us purchase hygiene products that are not normally donated and get them to our local projects.

You can support The Hygiene Bank in many different ways!

Fundraising

Challenges, marathons, collections, a coffee and cake morning, bake sale or a quiz night. Ask your company if they do matched funding - you could double your impact!

Volunteering

We need pro bono support from experts like you! From collecting hygiene products to writing thank you cards, or brainstorming sessions to support with ideas or campaigns.

Product collections

Collect essential personal grooming and hygiene products for those living in hygiene poverty. Leave a collection box in your office long term, or hold a pop up collection.

Raising Awareness

Lunch and learns about hygiene poverty and The Hygiene Bank. ou could hold this in tandem with a product collection or another fundraising activity.

Payroll giving

By offering employees the option to donate directly from their salary, tax-free, you can help provide essential hygiene products to those in need.
