Earlier this year, The Hygiene Bank partnered with the children’s book author Webilor Ediale, she writes about children’s struggles, challenges and life experiences from a diversity and inclusion point of view. Her latest release, ‘Tiney Tiny Turner What’s that Smell!’, teaches children how to stay clean through a series of activities and illustrations.
Webilor has experienced firsthand the ups and downs of raising a neurodivergent child -the joys, the struggles, and the endless love. In her journey as a parent of a neurodivergent child like Sele she’s dedicated herself to making his life, and the lives of other neurodivergent kids and their parents, more engaging, meaningful, and beautiful.
Through her books and accessible resources, advocating for inclusive education organizing support groups and leading awareness campaigns, she strives to create a world where neurodiversity is celebrated and embraced.
Her latest publication, Tiney Turner What’s That Smell, is the second of the Tiney Turner series and it focuses on teaching basic hygiene habits to children in a fun way. Webilor thinks learning should be fun, and she has come up with very clever ways of not only teaching children about cleanliness but how hygiene can provide self-esteem and confidence. The book uses funny exercises, illustrations and an inclusive language to make sure children, and parents and teachers, can learn the long-lasting impact of healthy hygiene habits.
If you want to teach the little ones what hygiene poverty is, head out to her website and learn more and buy her book.
